Logic Pro/Express: Logic appears not to open while initializing Loop Browser
Symptoms
After upgrading from Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard to Mac OS X v10.6 SnowLeopard, the first time you open Logic Pro or Logic Express it may appear not to open while the Loop Browser is being initialized.
Products Affected
Logic Express 8, Logic Pro 9.x, Logic Express 9.x, Logic Pro 8
Resolution
This may happen on computers that have a large number of receipt package files located in /Library/Receipts from previous software installations. After a while, the initialization process will complete and Logic will open.
Note: Updating from Logic 9.0 to 9.0.1 or 9.0.2 triggers a new Loop Browser scan, so you may see this issue the first time you open Logic after updating.
