Logic Pro 9.0.1: Logic quits unexpectedly when opening a project with TDM

Symptoms

When you open a project that contains TDM plug-ins on DAE audio tracks, Logic Pro 9.0.1 quits unexpectedly. This can also happen when you add a TDM plug-in to an audio track in a fresh project or a DAE/TDM template.

Resolution

This is a known issue with Logic Pro 9.0.1 and TDM. It is recommended that you update to Logic Pro 9.0.2.

To update using Software Update:

  1. Choose Apple () > Software Update.
  2. Software Update will check for new software.
  3. Click Show Details in the Updates are Available dialog.
  4. Make sure the Logic Pro 9.0.2 update is checked.
  5. Click Install.

To update manually:

  1. Click this link. 
  2. Click the download button for Logic Pro 9.0.2. The installer will open automatically after it downloads.
  3. Click Continue in the installer dialog and follow the onscreen instructions.
