Mac OS X Server v10.6: Server Admin reports Mail virus database not available
Symptoms
In Server Admin -> Mail -> Settings -> Filters, under the "Update the virus database" setting, Server Admin may report "Last Update: Not available" even though database updating is enabled and working.
Viewing Virus Database Updates in the Logs pane of Server Admin shows that virus database updates are occuring normally and are recorded in /var/log/freshclam.log.

Resolution
Enter the following command in a Terminal window to create a link to the ClamAV daily database.
sudo ln -s /var/clamav/daily.cld /var/clamav/daily.cvd
